Winter Comes

It is now December and more than half way though the month. I have been teaching English 5 days a week to children and have had a lot of fun in the process. This month we have a Xmas theme which means lots of special Xmas parties, which means lots of special planning of games and crafts for parties.

Japan 2011 The 2nd day

typical Japanese breakfast So I left the hotel around 8:20am or so (after a big breakfast at a local eatery), a bit late, I didnt get much sleep last night, anyway, so I take a taxi, which was pretty easy, I just wheeled by bags to the nearest street and raised my hand at the first taxi that passed, boom, get to the station and buy the right ticket to the right place, at the right time, then I had to get to the right platform on time, which I did, but while it was easy to find in a hurry in morning rush hour busy station, I found it difficult to rush around with two huge bags in fast moving crowds, but somehow I found the right platform at the right time, get on the train, didn't care which car though I knew that most cars were for reserved tickets only, I had to find the non-reserved cars. Patience

Being a migrant takes a lot of patience. All the initial unanswered questions and even subjects that pervade knowledge for long periods of time tend to be on the side of overwhelming, or at least they can be. Most of the subjects that we as social citizens, who are part of a society, with customs, and neighborhoods, cities, where people have choices, practices, and distances to cover; to be productive and traverse a planned or unplanned scape of people, places, organizations, establishments, streets, grids, etc., all take a lot of patience to get to know and understand. If you are like me and have been to a new land where there are new experiences, it's very hard to get all the unknowns answered quickly, the onyl practical thing to do is to be patient. The answers will come eventually, with daily life comes daily answers.
